An Important Update From Our CEO

ARTICLE – 13 May 2021 / 1 minute read

Hello everyone,
Our developers have had another busy day of work and we are still on track to deliver the below:
1. A fix to allow members to switch between meal plans and exercise levels. This will be deployed early next week.

2. Printing for the individual meal plans, shopping lists and recipes. This will be deployed by the end of next week.

3. A fix to allow the videos to play in full screen (this will be deployed early next week).
Please remember that we have the below support in place:
  • Video guides from the meal planners, exercise plans and weekly dashboard.
  • Lite access to the old programme here. Please see my update dated 6th May for more details, or contact support if you have any questions.
  • Access to your Community and Health coaches
  • Email support for both our 12 week programme members and subscription members
Thank you for your patience and support. The Fast 800 team have been so touched by the lovely messages we’ve been receiving from our members and it’s really keeping us all going as we’re working hard to make these changes.
I’ll be in touch again tomorrow.

Best wishes

ARTICLE – 12 May 2021 / 1 minute read

Hello everyone,
Today I’m thrilled to let you know that we have freshly loaded a new video explainer which is a step-by-step guide to our exercise content and plans.
Our Exercise Manager, Pascal, explains how to discover your workout for the day, and the plan for the week. This two minute video also shows you how to find a whole library of video content, which includes all the workout plans for all levels; you can use the filters to search the content and “favourite” the ones you enjoy the most to come back to at any time. In addition to the HIIT and resistance workouts, there are also pilates workouts and stretch videos – plenty of exercise inspiration! Find the exercise video here.
In other exciting news, we also have more timeline clarity on two important technical updates:
1. Our developers have been working on a fix to allow members to switch between meal plans and exercise levels. This will be deployed early in the new week.
2. Our developers are developing and improving the printing for the meal plans, shopping lists and recipes. This will be deployed by the end of next week.
3. We should have a solution to the videos not playing in full screen early next week.
Once we have finished the above, we will be moving onto improving the functionality of the tracker (i.e. moving between imperial and metric units).
Thank you. As always, we are grateful for your patience and support. I’ll be in touch again tomorrow.
Best wishes
Calypso Haggett – CEO

To our valued members,
Today has been a productive day. There are technical updates on the brink of being ready to announce, but they need further testing. So I will provide an update on those once we are clear.

We have resumed our normal sending of the weekly member emails and our subscription members should have received their first email today. Our first email to our 12-week programme members will be sent on Thursday. These emails are designed to inform, educate, and inspire, and we hope you enjoy them.

Also, please note the following resources designed to help support your journey whilst we continue to transition fully:

1. A step-by-step guidance video on using the meal planner to its optimal function.

2. A step-by-step guide to the Daily Dashboard, which really clarifies the way the programme helps you on a daily basis.

3. Our compensation plan to acknowledge this disruption in service, outlined in my last update. More details on when this will be deployed will be coming soon.

4. A bolstering of our Explore library, so you can now see all our exercise plans there. To view this, go to Dashboard > Explore.

5. Regular updates to Community keeping you up-to-date with all the changes but – importantly – offering the motivation of your cohort to keep you on track! It’s been so wonderful to see so many of our members, old and new, interacting with one another and making connections.

Kind regards,
Calypso Haggett- CEO

As we move into a new week, our resolve to deliver on the expectations of the online programme is strong. We are focussed to ensure you have the service and functionality you deserve. We have made significant progress, and we know there’s a way to go. Today I have several tech updates to share:

  • We have made a technical change to the login process which means that it should be easier for members to login to the programme.
  • Some of our subscription members were seeing the 12-week programme theme on their dashboard. This is now fixed.
  • We are very close to deploying a fix for members that can’t see next’s week’s meal planner. We are hoping to deploy this by Wednesday.
  • Our developers are working on a fix to allow members to switch between meal plans and exercise levels. This is taking slightly longer than we had hoped, but this should be ready by the end of the week.
  • We are working on developing and improving the printing functionality for the meal plans, shopping lists and recipes as a priority.

And to re-cap from previous updates:

  • You can find a video from Gabi, The Fast 800 Nutritionist and Recipe Developer, explaining how the meal planner works here
  • You can find a video explaining how the daily dashboard and Explore sections of the program works here
  • All of the 12-week programme HIIT and resistance exercise plans are now available in the Explore library. This has been actioned to help members who were wanting to go back to the 12 week course to view their previous exercise plans, and for members that are currently stuck on the wrong exercise level and cannot change their level. Members can access the plans by going to Explore > Workouts and then filtering by Exercise Type and then Difficulty. The HIIT and Resistance plans for Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels are all there.
  • Members can now access the lite version of the old site. For more details on this, please see my previous update dated 6th May 2021.
  • We are offering members one month free access to the programme as compensation for the disruption of service. Please note if you are currently on our 12-week programme, you will receive a total of two months free access to the programme (1 free month trial of the subscription, and 1 free month as compensation). If you are a subscription member, you will not be charged for one month of subscription. Please note we are working through this process at the moment and we will announce when this will be actioned as soon as we can.

I commit to keeping you up-to-date with our developments and improvements which are taking the programme toward the functionality we had visioned. More and more members are expressing how much they are enjoying the new programme – the team has been so grateful to receive this positive feedback whilst we continue to work diligently through the issues.

Kind regards,

Calypso Haggett – CEO

ARTICLE – 8 May 2021 / 3 minute read

To our valued members,
I hope you are managing to get some rest, relaxation and enjoyment into your weekend.
I wanted to provide you all with an update and further clarity over a few things.
The first update is that we have rolled out the fix for the issue that was causing some members to be logged out of the programme. Please note you may have to log in one more time but after this, it shouldn’t be an issue for you. If you have forgotten your password or your password isn’t working, please reset it using the don’t remember your password link.
I also wanted to clarify any confusion around the one-month free access to the programme as compensation for the disruption of service. If you are currently on our 12-week programme, you will receive a total of two months free access to the programme (ie. 1 free month trial of the subscription, and 1 free month as compensation).
If you are a subscription member, you will not be charged for one month of subscription.
Please note we are working through this process and we will announce when this will be actioned next week.
We have had lots of positive feedback about the meal planner tutorial that our nutritionist, Gabi, provided (please see the link here for more details). As such, our team has developed another video demonstrating how the daily dashboard/ explore section of the programme works. Please see the link here for details. We hope you enjoy this video and that it provides clarity over some of the exciting features of the new programme.
In terms of bug fixes, our developers are currently working on fixes for members that:
  • can’t progress through the quiz
  • can’t see “next week’s” meal plan.
We are also working on developing and improving the printing functionality for the meal plans, shopping lists and recipes as a priority.
Remember that you can access the lite version of the old site if you wish to do so. For more details on this, please see my previous update dated 6th May 2021.
On behalf of the team at The Fast 800 thank you for your patience and continued support as we work through these challenges.
Kind regards,
Calypso Haggett – CEO

ARTICLE – 7 May 2021 / 3 minute read

To our valued members,

Whilst we have come far in fixing bugs and responding to your very justified concerns, we do understand there is a way to go until our service and your experience is as we had planned.

Please know that as we move into the weekend, we are very firmly focussed on maintaining this momentum and I will continue to post daily to ensure you’re fully informed.

We are truly sorry for this disruption that has occurred and as such, we’d like you to know we will be compensating for this period of compromised service with a month’s free access to the online programme. We had hoped to announce this sooner however, we needed to be confident that our processes allowed for this before we made this announcement. More information on this will be available next week.

Our nutritionist, Gabi, has released a new meal planner guidance video. It is available here and I hope it excites you to see the potential of the meal planner’s new functionality.
Our developers are currently working on the fixes for members that:
  • continue to get logged out of the programme
  • can’t progress through the quiz
  • can’t see “next week’s” meal plan.

Please also remember that you can access the lite version of the old site here if you wish to do so. For more details on this, please see my previous update.

As always, our Customer Service and Health Coach team are available to respond to questions and offer guidance and motivation.

Kind Regards,

Calypso Haggett – CEO

ARTICLE – 6 May 2021 / 5 minute read

Hello everyone and thank you very much for your patience as we develop and implement solutions for the issues caused by our transition to the new programme, particularly for our members who are currently having problems with their meal plans.

We’re continuing to read and acknowledge all your feedback and suggestions. As a result, we have a temporary solution that will enable those people who are currently having difficulty accessing their meal plans to prepare for next week.

We can now provide lite access to the old programme for all members who were previously using it (i.e. joined on or before the 28th April 2021 and had an active membership on the 28th April).

With this, you will have:

  • Fully functioning meal plans where you can swap meals and print recipes
  • Editable and printable shopping lists
  • Ability to alter your diet and exercise preferences.

If you would like access to the old site, please follow this link and use your old username and password to login.

This is a temporary site only and we ask that you continue to use the new programme for:

  • The Community (where we will be posting regular updates)
  • Your tracker (where you can record your progress with the programme)
  • Any changes to your account details.

Changes made on the old, lite version of the programme, will not be made to your new account so please continue to use, and get to know, our new programme.

We are making a promise to you:

  1. We will have this temporary site available until we fix these bugs with the meal plans and shopping lists, provide a simple way to print your meal plan and reinstate your ability to edit the shopping list.
  2. When we are confident these features will work for all members on the new site, we will give you at least two weeks notice before we fully remove this lite version of the old programme.

We genuinely apologise for the problems that have arisen over the past week and hope that this will give you some comfort and reassurance that The Fast 800 team are doing absolutely everything we can to prioritise your health and wellbeing.

Our team has come to know many of you over the past several years and the words of encouragement we have received have meant a great deal.

As a team, and despite the problems we have faced this week, we really are proud of the new programme and are confident in its ability to help our members achieve and sustain a long-term healthy lifestyle once these issues are fixed.

Calypso Haggett – CEO

ARTICLE – 5 May 2021 / 3 minute read

Thank you for your patience and support.

I’m thrilled to let you know that today we have deployed a fix for the shopping list totals and wrong ingredients. Your shopping list should now accurately reflect your meal plan.

We have been made aware that some members are still unable to access their meal planner altogether.

We have a temporary solution to this that will be made available to you before the end of the working week GMT.

Our solution is to provide lite access to the old programme for members that had previous active access (i.e. joined on or before the 28th April 2021 and had an active membership on the 28th April). You’ll receive an email confirming these details when we are ready to deploy this solution, however, with this you will have:

  • Fully functioning meal plans where you can swap meals and print recipes
  • Editable and printable shopping lists
  • Ability to alter your diet preferences
  • Ability to alter your exercise levels and follow the exercise plans.

Please note that this is a temporary solution that we hope gives members reassurance whilst we work through the bugs on the new programme. We are making a promise to you. We will have this temporary site available until we fix these bugs with the meal plans and shopping lists, provide a simple way to print your entire meal plan and reinstate your ability to edit the shopping list. When we are confident these features will work for all members on the new site, we will give you at least two weeks notice before we fully remove this lite version of the old programme.

Changes made on the old site, will not be made to your new account so please continue to use, and get to know, our new programme for the following:

  • The Community (where we will be posting regular updates)
  • Your tracker (where you can record your progress with the programme)
  • Any changes to your account details

Despite offering this interim solution, I encourage you to continue engaging in the new programme space as the Community support and your tracking data are vital for supporting the progress of your health journey. For members that are enjoying the new programme and aren’t having technical issues, please continue to use it as you are currently doing so.

I’ll be back in touch tomorrow announcing when this temporary solution will be available, along with other improvements we are currently working hard to implement.

ARTICLE – 4 May 2021 / 3 minute read

To our most valued members:

I wanted to continue my regular updates by re-iterating that “all hands are on deck” for member support, which is our most important priority. We are absolutely reading your messages, and listening, and actioning. It may take us longer than usual to respond but we value your messages and will reach you as soon as we can.

Please know that we have expanded our resources to support the technical difficulties we are experiencing and I can now confirm that we have recently deployed updates to fix:

– the missing meal swap icons and scrolling through meal swaps
– the missing dashboard links to exercise and meal plans in the subscription space
– the missing three dot menu on certain screen sizes

We have also implemented a few quick wins from the team:
  • The shakes are now available to swap in and out of your meal plans
  • We have uploaded more exercises to your exercise library as a temporary solution whilst you are unable to switch between exercise plans.

Our next steps are to:

1. Continue work on the shopping list issues and we are hoping to deploy these fixes tomorrow.

2. Continue to work on fixing the issues with the personalisation of the diet plans so that you can swap between diets and exercise levels.
We are also exploring how we can best bring back the printing functions for the shopping lists and meal planners. Please note that this might take slightly longer than we hoped, but we are doing everything we can to prioritise this.

I encourage you to engage in the Community for the support of your health journey and of course, reach out to our customer service team should you have issues or concerns. I will be back in touch tomorrow with further updates on progress.

On behalf of The Fast 800, we would like to apologise to all of our members that have tried to access, and are experiencing issues, with The Fast 800 online programme.

Over the past few days, The Fast 800 team have been working around the clock to update our online programme, with technical difficulties causing serious issues for the user experience and accessibility of the programme. Although these technical issues were unforeseen, we recognise that it’s our responsibility to our members to offer the best possible service and experience; we are deeply sorry for the disruption this has caused.

Our mission is to help our members and community lose weight and improve their health. Our vision for the evolution of the online programme was created in line with this mission. All the updates to The Fast 800 online programme were created with our members, and our passion for healthy living in mind.

As the team is diligently working through the current technical difficulties, I will be providing daily updates via The Fast 800 website and through The Fast 800 community platform to keep you informed on our next steps and when the programme is operating as intended. We are expecting the below issues to be fixed by Wednesday (5th May 2021):

  • Meal planner swap functionality
  • Shopping list ingredient totals
  • The quiz, which currently does not allow some people to progress to the next page
  • Dashboard links for subscription members

Your feedback is always important to us. We are reading all of your comments and emails. As the team is working as hard and quickly as they can, there may be delays in responding directly to each comment and we apologise for that. Please rest assured we do not take for granted the trust you have placed in our team.

We are so proud of The Fast 800 community and your passion for the programme. We’re also excited to be by your side as you continue to progress toward your personal health goals.

Invaluable feedback from our members has helped us shape the direction of the programme and the improvements we have made and continue to make. So we will continue to listen and learn from you as we solve the issues we are currently experiencing and improve the programme for all members.

We thank you for bearing with us through this phase and are excited to welcome you to the updated online programme.
