A huge pat on the back for the team. I am absolutely loving the recipes – easy to prepare, very tasty and fresh.

When I think of how many times I endured the L.. & E.. diet (which my doctor repeatedly recommended), it never worked. I could never eat all the meals and worst of all, the dinners were pre-cooked and frozen in cardboard boxes. WELL DONE! Loving it so far!

I have been following the plan I would say 90% of the time and I just wanted to say a big thank you to the team and community. This HAS changed things for me. I am almost 10kg lighter and my bloods are SOOOOOOO much better than they were, practically normal!

I am not going to become complacent though as I know that I have various triggers and challenges that make me want to eat stuff that isn’t so good for me. However, after doing this diet I do feel confident in my abilities to maintain healthy eating as my taste buds seem to have changed and I have control over my portion sizes.

This Program offers the best support I’ve ever come across.

And when it comes to stress eating I can definitely relate. While on this program I’m becoming so much more aware of what my triggers are and am gradually developing strategies to avoid having to rely solely on willpower when I’m stressed or tired.

I already know that my learnings from the programme have been so valuable to my future health and wellbeing. I loved being able to use the recipes and prepare my meals in advance. Being a chef, I’m still a little fussy about some of the foods but with an open mind I have tried a lot of new and interesting flavours. Whilst on the programme, I was able to chat with others in a similar situation on the forum and this was something to which I really looked forward. Knowing that I wasn’t alone and that we could support one another was a pleasure. alone and that we could support one another was a pleasure. I would like to thank the team – I have never had as much support or involvement as I have had during my time on the 12-week online programme; it has changed the way I think and live my everyday life.

This program has provided a foundation for life.

For me it has brought together all the bits of knowledge I ‘sort of’ knew and added in new information in a way that makes so much sense to me. If I go off track it’s easy to get back on, because it’s such nice food, it’s simple and it makes sense. Chocolate isn’t as tempting anymore….it just doesn’t taste as nice so I can stop after a small amount. I simply don’t want it, rather than needing to use all my willpower to stop. Having forum support was really useful too. Thankyou team and community.

I thought I would share how I have gone. I have found the menu plans very helpful. I’ve almost cut out alcohol and the forum support and feedback essential to staying on track. I have continued with my usual 3 – 4 gym visits per week but have added a daily 10,000 steps. I started at 85kg, now I am 74kg. I was on 4 prescribed medications. My GP has taken me off 2, including Metformin, and the other 2, for cholesterol and blood pressure have been halved. As of last week my glucose fasting had dropped from 7.7 to 4.9 and my HbA1c has decreased from 6.3 to 5.2. This program has been fantastic – thank you to the team and all the community members!

I haven’t eaten so well for years.

Just wanted to say thank you Menu Team for such an interesting, delicious and satisfying first weeks menu. Yum!!

Like others here I expect, my “good food radar” had been broken after too many years losing (and gaining!) the same 10kg with a variety of diets. So nice to be able to enjoy fats again.

My big takeaway from this week has been with a menu plan (and the fridge/ pantry stocked accordingly) the weeks eating is a breeze. With a bit of time spent on the shopping list, there is a lot of time saved during the week. Also less chance of going off the rails. This is going to be a big tool for me post the 8 weeks.

Today is the day that I have been told that I have worked hard enough to come off all my medication. I will no longer be taking Metformin and this is one week before my goal date. When I started I was 115.1kg and I was taking Metformin and blood pressure medication. As of today, no more medication. And after a two week plateau I am now down to 102.8kg. This

is such a great start to my future – I hope this is just the beginning of many positive steps. I am no longer in the morbidly obese category, but I still have a long way to go. Thanks to everyone who has helped me on this journey. Keep up the good work everyone!

12 weeks later I am now, today, 223.9lbs or 101.56kgs. My body fat % reading is 33.6% and my chisel fat reading is 15. At my last check in with the diabetic nurse, my Hba1c reading was down to 51, which was after 8 weeks and the nurse was flabbergasted! She could not believe it and was totally astounded when I got on the scales. My waist is now 44″, hips 41″ and chest 44″. People are asking me if I’m alright? or “are you sick? One person even said I’d” lost way too much and enough was enough!!”

“I have lost 10.3% of my body weight and have never felt better in years.

I have come away from the program feeling younger, healthier and slimmer with a completely new attitude and respect for food.

(As a diabetic) I owe the positive success of reducing my blood sugar levels to within recommended guidelines and for losing weight, to the 12 week private online program which I have recently completed. The program is based on the healthy Mediterranean diet. Over the 12 weeks, with guidance and prompt responses to questions from health professionals online, the program has taught me to take control, change lifestyle and get rid of old bad habits. Each week the program provided inspirational handouts and videos on nutrition and exercise. Carefully prepared menus, flavoursome meal plans and shopping lists were provided making the program easy to follow. There were some personal challenges to overcome and sometimes temptation was given into but, ultimately, the program was effective. Being able to share thoughts and exchange experiences with other participants, to give each other support, was inspiring and kept us focused.

I have come away from the program feeling younger, healthier and slimmer with a completely new attitude and respect for food. I will continue on this path to maintain a healthy lifestyle, to manage my weight, to keep to an exercise regime and to maintain good blood sugar levels.

About three months prior to joining the online program I brought Michael Mosley’s 8 week BSD book. I went with gusto into the plan, losing about 6Kilos, 93 Kilo to 87.7 Kilos over three months. Then I embarked on the 12-week program online. The first two weeks I was dreaming food, honestly. But that has all long passed as the menu offered such variety and is so dam tasty.

My progress has been slow, my weight up and down, little change in my fasting BS, however my waist measurement has gone down a couple of inches and I my cholesterol has fallen by nearly half.

I have learned so much and it is only at the end that I can reevaluate my eating habits over the past 12 weeks.

Portion, Portion, portion and for me emotions. I get bored I eat, I get stressed I eat. And sure, I have been eating very healthy but I missed the boat on portion control and going back for several little snacks which in turn added up to probably another 2 meals if not more? I now realise that’s been my problem for years not just over the past 12 weeks.

I had the mind set of It’s healthy so I can eat as much as I like! Wrong!

The good news. My wonderful Dr has granted me another 12 weeks’ reprieve before suggesting that should I fail it’s time to go on Metformin. It’s been two weeks since I saw him and I have gone from 87.7 to 85. My fasting BS were around 15 mmol/L and now 10.

I am on fire, feel fantastic, cloths fit and people are noticing. I have even noticed the change, just walking passed a shop window seeing my reflection and I think is that really me :0)

The support on line is so valuable and the forum really helps you to see that you’re not alone. Real people share their ups and downs, daily struggles and inspirational testimonies that are really fantastic.

I just love proving my Dr wrong, so I am going to start all over again and can’t wait to see his face when I present in 10 weeks’ time. Not only will there be less of me :0) but I know that my BS will have continued to fall, I just know I am so determined.

I am going to do the online program again if there is a space.

I would recommend the program for anyone looking to lose weight or to improve their blood sugars.

I knew I could only follow the program properly for 6 weeks as i was traveling overseas but I really wanted to get started so took the plunge. I had really impressive results despite this with weight loss of 6kg and more exciting a drop in my HbA1C of 0.8 with no change in medication! Even my endocrinologist was impressed.

In particular i loved the recipes and shopping lists with this plan. Other weight loss programs having been temporarily successful for me but I’ve gotten bored with the repetitive food that isn’t fresh. I also found i was really deskilled in cooking afterwards and went back to old habits. I think the program gives you lots of good food swap options and teaches you lovely recipes and good food habits.

I LOVE the shopping lists! This program saves waste and money and makes planning your weekly meals so much easier. I have tried following these diet concepts on my own but been defeated by all the planning. The program made this simple and helped train me to do it for myself with two “own plan” weeks.

I am definitely giving this program another go, the whole 12 weeks this time. I’m confident of good results which makes me enthusiastic, not my usual attitude to a “diet”.

I feel i can take these new food attitudes with me for the rest of my life and be healthy and happy!

I lost 2 stone 5 lb after the 12 weeks and another 4 lb continuing with low carb but not calorie counting. I lost 15cm off my waist.

I wasn’t on any medication before and I didn’t have diabetes, however I do feel my general health has improved – energy levels, sleep, general aches and pains.

I generally loved the food. I found the menus very tasty and satisfying. I can’t stand beans so I replaced them with tofu. After I while I stopped being able to stomach some of the savoury dishes for breakfast (particularly the portobello mushroom and poached egg!), but just replaced them with Greek yogurt or scrambled eggs!

One of my main motivations for doing the diet was to be able to lift my body weight. I was training quite hard and was worried I would not have any energy but it was fine. I did not do much in the way of aerobic exercise during the 12 weeks, mostly walking, yoga and the strength work. I have now reintroduced jogging and other aerobic exercise.

The second week was the hardest with bad headaches but these resolved after a few days.

I had my birthday and a friend’s 40th weekend in the space of a week which was quite a challenge, but I managed to stay lowish-carb (I got the restaurant to swap potatoes for greens, had cheese instead of dessert and skipped the afternoon tea) and despite allowing myself a few glasses of wine and some cake I still lost weight that week.

I am allowing myself a few treats over Xmas and a few pounds gain but am keen to start again in January and see if I can get to somewhere in the middle of my healthy BMI range.
