Our twist on the dish, a Black Forest Parfait, is the ultimate healthy Christmas breakfast, with all the beneficial nutrients you need to kick your day off right. 

Just one portion of this decadent dessert provides an impressive 13.9g of protein, making this healthy Christmas breakfast super satiating. It’s in part thanks to the Greek yoghurt, which has a very high protein content and is known to also help support bone, gut and heart health. Ingredients

  • 200g plain full-fat Greek yoghurt
  • 70g cherries, pitted and halved (fresh, frozen or jarred in juice)
  • 10g mixed roasted nuts, chopped
  • 5g dark chocolate, at least 85% cocoa solids, shaved

Instructions

  1. In a glass or jar, layer the yoghurt, cherries and nuts until they are all used up.
  2. Sprinkle the dark chocolate on top, and an extra cherry if you like, and refrigerate until ready to serve.
